| His sire was a particularly fine fleeced animal who carried black and gray in his pedigree. Lightning has sired black, gulmoget, grey, and amsket progeny together with white. In 1994-5 as a ram lamb he was out on loan tupping Icelandic ewes to produce a finer fleeced progeny. He returned in the spring of '95 in a fairly run down condition and after improving his fleece was rooed. Lightning's progeny have been shown and gained first prizes. |
