| This Southdown has been officially measured: Length: 39 inches, height at the shoulder: 31 inches. He was weighed before mating and was 140 kg. He was unbeaten as a lamb and was Champion Ram Hogget at the 1996 Royal Show, all breeds Ram Hogget at the Central Hawkes Bay, Supreme Champion all breeds at Horohenua, AP Show and Masterton, AP Show 1997. I have been breeding Southdowns for 24 years and I consider this sheep to be what the meat industry in this country has been looking for. |
